好奇的伙伴们:草地上的静谧会面
Compañeros curiosos: Un encuentro tranquilo en el césped
Spotted two surprise guests lounging in the grass near my friend’s apartment complex—a black-and-white duo that looked like they stepped out of a storybook. One all black, calm yet alert, with a white tuft on its head like a tiny beret. Look closer and you’ll see a few white mustache hairs near its mouth and more behind its ears—not signs of aging, but more like carefully placed highlights of flair.
The black rabbit’s eye doesn’t carry the fierce intensity of the famous Afghan Girl portrait, but it holds its own kind of quiet power—attentive, focused, deeply present. A gentle observer of the world, dressed with a touch of style.
The white rabbit, with black markings and an unusually low-set eye, has a cartoonish charm that makes it feel like a character from a children’s story—odd in proportion, but wonderfully expressive.
They sat close but unhurried, uncrowded yet connected. When the breeze moved, their ears twitched in sync.
Whether they’re neighbors, escapees, or free spirits passing through, their presence felt rare and gentle. I’d seen one of them alone earlier this week, hopping around the path—but seeing them together brought a different kind of calm. A moment worth pausing for.

Un momento tranquilo con dos conejos en el césped del vecindario, que nos invita a detenernos y apreciar la naturaleza a nuestro alrededor.
Light Notes
Around 3pm. Dappled light with most of the scene in soft shadow. No harsh highlights—just gentle tones and a peaceful, muted palette.
Mood / Intention
Quiet, curious, a little surreal. Like bumping into magic when you weren’t looking.
Post-Processing Notes
iPhone native photo. Cropped to focus on their pose and proximity. Minor adjustments to preserve the softness and contrast in shadow.
What I Like / What I’d Improve
Their calm presence and balanced composition felt natural. Next time I’d bring the R5 and a long lens—get closer, meet their eyes, and see what stories they tell from that low angle.
Inspiration / Reference
That moment when the wild shows up quietly in the middle of your day. Not dramatic—just present. And meaningful, if you’re still enough to see it.
